Happy Christmas from Academic Writing Librarian Blog.

It's been a good year in lots of ways including activity on my blog.  With approximately 4,000 hits per month, I think the blog is still serving a useful role.

In addition to the normal calls for papers, there were lots of additions to the section Top Tips from Published Authors  Thanks to all the contributors.  It is great to share ideas and insights.

Some highlights in my writing year were:

The Seminar Librarian as Academic Author: Further Developing your Scholarly Writing on 9th November.
Click here to access the Library Guide which includes links to the PowerPoint presentations.
Chick here to read Heather Chawke's review of the seminar.
The book "Librarian as Communicator: Case Studies and International Perspectives" edited by myself and Graham Walton was launched at the event.

The Launch of the ebook Silence Would be Treason: Last Writings of Ken Saro-Wiwa  which I edited with two colleagues was another special event for me.  The film from the seminar to mark the anniversary of the execution of Ken Saro-Wiwa and his eight colleagues (The Ogoni 9) is available here.

Thanks to Heather Chawke, a student UCD iSchool, who assisted on various aspects of the blog during the past six months.
