The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) Library Buildings and Equipment Section is
seeking proposals for papers to be presented at an Open Session at the IFLA
World Library and Information Congress 2018 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The theme is: Transform Libraries: Transform
Society.
Library design has frequently focused on
creating facilities and services that suit most people rather than all people.
How could library planning and design better accommodate user differences in
all types of libraries (public, academic, national and special)? The full call
